DIY Breakfast at Tiffany’s Holly Golightly Costume (4 Ways)

Arguably one of the most popular Halloween costumes of all time, Holly Golightly’s look is made to replicate. The long black dress, costume jewelry, men’s tuxedo shirt and blue sleep mask are so iconic in their simplicity. But there are two other looks in the film that I find are often looked over, though they’re no less iconic. Here are four different ways that you can become Holly Golightly this Halloween.

The tiara:

Start with a small piece of cardboard, and hand draw an outline of the tiara as best you can. Cut out the tiara with a razor blade or a sharp pair of scissors. Paint the cardboard with pink acrylic paint and wait to dry. Then, hot glue your hair comb to the base of the cardboard and let dry. You can purchase a hair comb for the bottom of the tiara on Amazon or at any craft store. Finally, glue an array of iridescent and pink stones to the front of the tiara!

A special thank you to Michelle Rodriguez, who made my childhood dreams come true as she trekked all across Chicago with me photographing these looks.
